Admission Policies & Requirements

St. Paul's Lutheran School and Childcare Center admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of it's educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs, loan programs, athletic programs, and other school-administered programs.

St. Paul's Lutheran School

As set forth by the state of Washington, children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before August 31st in the year of their enrollment. Children entering Preschool must be 3 years of age by August 31st, and children entering Pre-Kindergarten must be 4 years of age by August 31st. For children who have a fall birthday after the cut-off date for Kindergarten or for children that need a little extra growth before entering Kindergarten, we offer a popular Young 5's class. Children ages 3 and up must be independent in their bathroom skills to be enrolled into the program for the new school year.

All admissions to St. Paul's Lutheran School are approved by the School Board upon the recommendation of the administration.

We offer the following guidelines to assist parents in selecting their child's ECE grade level placement:

Transfer Students - If transferring to St. Paul’s, records from the previous school will be required prior to enrollment. An administrator will meet with the parents or guardian to determine placement prior to admission. Under normal circumstances, we will not promote a child who has been advised to repeat a class or grade at another school.
